Sunny French pastries

A simple recipe for a delicious snack in the form of crispy French pastries; I give you two types of stuffing - both are tasty and rich in nutrients.

Garlic, onion and leek provide allicin that has antiviral, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.

Parsley is an excellent source of ascorbic acid that strengthens immunity.

Portobello mushrooms are a source of selenium that supports the immune system. It reduces inflammation and reduces oxidative stress in the body.

Kale and basil pesto or basil itself is a source of vitamin K which ensures proper blood clotting and beta-carotene which supports immunity.

The cakes are just as tasty after baking as well as the next day. They can be eaten cold or hot.

Ready puff pastry

Stuffing 1

Young portobello mushrooms (or mushrooms)

Coconut oil

Salt and pepper

Parmesan cheese (grated)

  1. Fry chopped portobello mushrooms in coconut oil and leek. When lightly browned, add garlic and chopped parsley. Salt and pepper (leave to cool).
  2. We put stuffing on a square piece of puff pastry. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese. Fold so as to get a triangle. We grease the egg and sprinkle with chia seeds or linseed. Bake in an oven preheated to 190 degrees C for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

Zucchini (cut into cubes)

Mushrooms (cut into slices)

Onion (diced)

Cherry tomatoes (cut into four parts)

Kale and basil pesto or basil pesto (you can buy ready-made or use the rest from dinner)

Parmesan cheese (grated)

  1. Fry chopped onions, mushrooms, courgettes and cherry tomatoes in olive oil or coconut oil. After light browning, set aside to cool. We add ready kale pesto and basil or basil. Mix.
  2. We put stuffing on a square piece of puff pastry. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese. Fold so as to get a triangle. We grease the egg and sprinkle with chia seeds or linseed. Bake in an oven preheated to 190 degrees C for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
